Alex joined Mtech Access in 2023, following completion of his postdoctoral research fellowship at McGill University in Canada. Joining from an academic background, Alex brings extensive experience and expertise in systematic reviewing having conceptualised and managed multiple systematic reviews through to publication. In these projects, Alex has led on all facets of systematic reviewing, including research question design, devising of search strategy, conducting searches of bibliographic databases, screening identified articles against inclusion/exclusion criteria, extracting data, performing meta-analyses/narrative syntheses, and interpreting findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Alex’s academic speciality is in the field of respiratory medicine, and he has worked on three clinical practice guidelines for the American Thoracic Society, which are now implemented as part of care provision for people living with chronic respiratory diseases in the USA.
Alex holds a PhD in Applied Biosciences for Health from the University of Lincoln, as well as an MPhil & BSc (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science from Aberystwyth University.
