Founded in 2015, we are Mtech Access, a dynamic, friendly, and rapidly expanding independent global market access consultancy based in Oxfordshire, Manchester, Cambridge, Newcastle and York.
We offer a wide range of support and services to market access and HEOR teams from global to local level, including evidence and market access strategy development; the generation and assimilation of evidence; and implementation and communication to payers and other stakeholders. Our team of in-house market access consultants, health economists, writers, analysts and developers are experienced and skilled, and ready to help clients with their next market access challenge. We have access to a broad network of payers, clinicians and other stakeholders across global markets, who we regularly engage to inform our insights and recommendations.
Role & Responsibilities
You will play a key role in the development of value communications projects, health economic models and data insight tools. In a consultancy environment each project is unique requiring a broad skillset but generally the data analyst role would be expected to:
- Collect, maintain, transpose and provide datasets for the health economics team and support other projects data requirements
- Develop and maintain a public health data/ real world evidence repository/warehouse to support the development of value communications tools
- Provide expert advice and support on the sources and use of a range of health datasets
- Analyse and interpret complex data and undertake statistical analyses such as age standardisation and significance testing
- Use and develop database/API queries and spreadsheets to undertake analyses
- Provide quality assurance of datasets
- Support our team of health economists with the development of budget impact models and other value communications tools
- Support in the training of client payer facing teams to use the developed budget impact models
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science, economics, mathematics or another relevant discipline (MSc advantageous)
- Experience in the use of statistical and epidemiological methods for analysing health data sets
- Experience of working with multiple sets of health-related data and information systems
- Experience of presenting and interpreting complex public health data analysis and findings
- Comprehensive skills in the use spreadsheets, databases, GIS, statistical software (preferably R)
- Understanding of the NHS commissioning process and key commissioning outcomes frameworks
- Interest in health economics
- Excellent MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Highly motivated team player with an outstanding eye for detail and quality
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and flexible with an ability to cope under pressure / with competing demands
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
